We love summer and want to sweeten yours once again: with our new recipe for a fruity, fresh orange cream dessert! A delicious combination of a sweet, vegan cream, vanilla and orange compote, which is given a very special touch with our YOGI TEA® Ginger Orange with Vanilla. Have fun trying it out!

Ingredients

Preparation time: 30 minutes + chilling time

Portions: 4

  • 150 ml boiling water
  • 2 YOGI TEA® Ginger Orange with Vanilla teabags
  • 600 g vegan quark (or coconut yoghurt)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 1 orange
  • 2 tbsp raw cane sugar (or maple syrup)
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp coconut chips
  • Fresh mint leaves

Preparation

Scrape the vanilla seeds from the pod and mix them with the vegan quark and maple syrup. Refrigerate.

Peel and fillet the orange (use a knife to separate it into segments and remove the pith and membrane). Squeeze the juice from any bits you cut off. Place the orange fillets and juice in a saucepan with the water, sugar and spices.

Add 2 YOGI TEA® Ginger Orange with Vanilla teabags and bring to the boil for 5 minutes. Remove the teabags and allow the oranges to reduce for another 10 minutes. Let the oranges cool completely.

Brown the coconut chips in a frying pan (without oil) and let them cool.

Divide the quark into four dessert glasses and top with the preserved oranges. Top with the coconut chips and fresh mint to serve.
