  • Monotasking – one thing at a time: Sounds like the opposite of multitasking, doesn’t it? That’s exactly what it is! The idea is to just concentrate on one thing at a time. We often try to get several tasks done at once. The ability to multitask is often admired, but the brain can only process one idea at a time. So try to organise your to-do list according to order of priority and work through one thing after the other. That way, you will work more efficiently, as well as think more clearly!
  • Brain dump – liberate your thoughts by writing them down! A brain dump is a wonderful way of sorting out your ideas and the jobs you have to do. Make room for all your thoughts, positive and negative, and just write them down. This will leave room for the essentials and get you in a position to concentrate on the important tasks at hand.
  • Breathwalk – a mindful walk: A breathwalk is a mindful walk, making it an excellent way of clearing your head. Fresh air and exercise ensure that your brain and body are supplied with oxygen. If you concentrate on your breathing at the same time, you will find it even easier to switch off from all other thoughts.
